Assembly + Care: Soft Furniture

Everything you need to know to keep your soft furniture pieces looking like new.

Seat Assembly

Important! Decompress your foam for at least 48 hours before assembly. This ensures your fabric will fit tightly on the foam and look its best.

One seat comes with a base (2pc foam) and a backrest (1pc foam) and corresponding fabric covers. Please note this may ship separately.

Optional waterproof liners are available to add on here, that add an extra layer of protection from spills and messes. Bonus -- they also make assembly easier!

Assembling your seat

  • 1. Important! Start by decompressing your foam for at least 48hours, then set aside. Lay the full base cover down flat to open, zipper side up. There are two compartments for your base foam squares.

  • 2. Place the square pieces of base foam on either side. Ensure the edges of the foam line up with the piping and press down to ensure foam fits snugly.

  • 3. Zip the cover closed and tuck away the zipper. There are small pockets to hide the zippers when finished.

Washing Instructions

Life gets messy. That’s why our fabric covers are designed to handle it all. Fully machine washable, they’re made for easy cleanup whenever spills and smudges happen.

Instructions:

Remove the foam and toss the covers in the wash on cold and tumble dry low, separately. For smaller spills, a quick spot clean with gentle detergent does the trick. Do not bleach, dry clean or iron.

Zip the fabric covers closed before washing to prevent snags, and avoid overloading the machine for the best clean. If needed, reshape while damp and let air dry to maintain their best fit. For stubborn stains, pre-treat with a gentle, bleach-free stain remover before washing.

How to best use your seat

  • Safety First

Our soft furniture is designed for endless fun, but safety always comes first. Before each use, give your pieces a quick check to ensure everything is in good shape. Always supervise play. The pieces are designed for lounging, building, and creativity, not for sleep. If you're setting up on hard floors, use caution to keep playtime safe and comfortable.

  • Safe & Smart Fort-Building

We love a good fort, and we know your kids do too. When building, keep structures low to the ground and in open spaces—away from sharp edges, walls, doors, or stairs. Never place heavy objects on top and if you’re using your soft furniture as seating, it’s best to push the seat or couch up against a wall so the backrests stay on.

  • Covers & Liners

For the best experience, we recommend adding a waterproof liner under the external fabric cover of your Seat or Armrests. This will not only help prevent stains & messes from reaching the foam, but also makes it easier to put on the fabric covers. Keep zippers fully closed and tucked away in their pockets after assembling to ensure safe, worry-free play.
