Assembly + Care: Soft Furniture

Everything you need to know to keep your soft furniture pieces looking like new.

Play Chair Assembly

Important! Decompress your foam for at least 48 hours before assembly. This ensures your fabric will fit tightly on the foam and look its best.

Here are a few helpful tips.

  1. Make sure your foam is fully expanded.

  2. Put the waterproof liners on first, this will protect the foam and make the rest of assembly easier.

  3. Always make sure the foam lines up with the seams of the fabric.

  4. Hide the zipper away in the small zipper pocket when finished!

Washing Instructions

Life gets messy. That’s why our fabric covers are designed to handle it all. Fully machine washable, they’re made for easy cleanup whenever spills and smudges happen.

Instructions:

Remove the foam and toss the covers in the wash on cold and tumble dry low, separately. For smaller spills, a quick spot clean with gentle detergent does the trick. Do not bleach, dry clean or iron.

Zip the fabric covers closed before washing to prevent snags, and avoid overloading the machine for the best clean. If needed, reshape while damp and let air dry to maintain their best fit. For stubborn stains, pre-treat with a gentle, bleach-free stain remover before washing.

How to best use your play chair

  • Make a Creative Corner

Pair one or two play chairs with our ottomans or a coffee table to carve out a cozy corner for books, crafts, or quiet time. The low, supportive seat keeps kids grounded while still feeling grown-up.

  • Built for Independence

Lightweight enough for little hands, our play chair moves wherever their imagination does: forts, movie nights, blanket-covered “castles.” Encourage your littles to rearrange as they please.

  • Mix, Match & Layer

Our play chairs are made with the same design DNA as the rest of our soft furniture collection, right down to the matching mini ruffle pillows. Add an ottoman or seat, or mix fabrics for a layered playroom look that feels intentional — not kiddie.
