Assembly + Care: Mats

Set up with ease. Our mats are designed for simple setup and assembly. Follow our step-by-step guides so you can start enjoying your space in no time.

Caring for your standing mat

Before placing your mat on the floor, clean and dry the area completely. It may take 24-48 hours for your mat to fully flatten out.

To clean your Nama Standing Mat, use a sponge or cloth with one of the recommended cleaning solutions below and dry the mat completely. The best way to keep your mat looking new is to clean your mat regularly and avoid using abrasive cleaning solutions like window cleaner, floor cleaner, acetone or alcohol. Power vacuums should also not be used to clean your standing mat as they can damage the surface & edges.

For smaller spills, wipe them up as they happen with a dry cloth (the longer a spill sits, the more likely it is to stain!) While most spills can wipe up easily with our cleaning instructions, cases of extreme dirt, paint spills and heavily pigmented food or drink items may stain the fabric layer of your mat and should be avoided.

How to best use your standing mat

1. Use your Nama Standing Mat in the spaces you stand most, like the kitchen sink, stove, in the laundry room, or at your standing desk! While it may be tempting to put one in literally every room of your house, standing mats should not be used in the bathroom as they become slippery when wet.

2. To keep your mat in place, we recommend anchoring your mat against a wall, cabinet or island. If you find your mat is moving around on slick flooring, you can affix additional rug gripper stickers to the back of your mat (apply to each corner). These can be found online or at many local home-goods stores.
